We had Colin from FixMyRoof.ie over. He came this morning and sorted the gutters where ours meets the neighbour's. Our house is a semi-detached house, and it was renovated recently, finished in 2019. Included were very nice aluminium gutters. Our house is a semi-detached house.
On the front, there were caps on both sides, at the end of the neighbour's gutter and ours new gutter. This is grand and proper. However, there should have been a small fixture to cover the gap. I forgot what he called it. It is in now, and slipped under the roof tile, and has a little peak on it so dripping water is diverted to the gutters instead of dripping down and around the soffit and side of the house.
On the back it was much worse. The neighbour's gutter had been cut off and the bracket removed. There was no cap on the end of the neighbour's gutter. <--That is why it was spitting water at our house. Also, the cap on the end of our gutter was not sealed. It is fixed now. There is a piece of something screwed on to the neighbour's gutter and attached to our side and everything is sealed up.
We were very happy with the price as well! Very prompt service and a reasonable cost.
